    I-Beam Weight Capacity Chart?

I am not at a point where I am willing to go to an engineer, but I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a chart or info on the weight carrying capacity of different sized I-beam.

I am thinking about extending the second story in my garage, but I do not want a wall at the end. I would rather it be open with only a post in the middle if need be.

Here are two Excel sheets that could prove helpful. Use at your own risk, your mileage may vary.

I have seen a chart on an overhead crane site but I haven't the time at the moment to search for it. I know ther's one on the net, though.
