    Cool Toolbox Talk....

Anyone heard of Sequoia Toolboxes? I had a vendor show up today wanting me to peddle them...but I've never even heard of 'em....

I don't like peddling cheap crap that will come back to haunt me...but I need a lower priced line..which this fits...

Their sample looks pretty good...Similar to Matco quality I think...

I'd love to hear some toolbox talk for your opinions...

Not seen or heard of it. Did they give you specs on it? BB drawers etc? What kind of prices? US made or foreign?

I am in the market for a new box.

My google search came up with a couple of hits, but they were dead links. Do they have a website for us to peruse?

I came up with this site. http://sequoia2.com/ It shows some pictures but no detail as to where they are made and such. They seem to have nice deep drawers but beyond that you can't really tell anything about them.

The web site sort of sucks to navigate too.

These are their two models of service carts....I'm trying to upload the tooboxes...but the images are too large ...Once I figure out how to make 'em smaller...I'll post them as well.

The D3334 is 31-1/2" W x 20-1/2" Deep x 41-1/2" High. All the drawers use 99 lbs. ball bearing slides and the unit has a 600 lbs load capacity. Top tray is 31-1/2" x 5" Deep and includes a screwdriver / prybar holder. Cover has dual gas struts. Drawer handle grips are chrome. All drawers have drawer liners. Bottom drawer is 6-1/2" deep with 198 lbs. ball bearing slides. Casters are 5" x 2", two swivel, two locking. Drawers can be locked with a centrally located locking lever. Unit weight is 151 lbs...Available in Blue, Black, Burgundy, Orange or Yellow. Recommended sell price is $280.00 plus freight....

The A3335BL is 34" x 21" x 44-3/4". All the specs are basically the same, with the exception of dimensions (Top tray is 7" deep) but it also includes a quick lock system that keeps the drawers from opening when the unit is moved. Weight is 190 lbs. Recommended sell price on this is $420.00 plus freight....

Just curious what you think of this stuff so far...

It looks like they must ship KD (knocked down) by the looks of the fasteners all over. Not saying that's a bad thing, just an observation.

On their site, I do like the worktable with fluid drain.

That looks like the tear down table I have. I will have to see if I can find a link to the company where I bought it.
