tips for repairing a fuel oil line

I have a fuel oil tank and fuel oil furnace. Between them is about 6' of copper tubing. It got whacked by someone working in the basement, and now it leaks at the inline filter. Not enough to see, but enough to be a mess and I gotta fix it. It has flare fittings, not compression.

Got any tips to help me fix this? I've tried cleaning it up to see if I can see where it leaks, and haven't been very successful. I'm thinking about trying to clean it again and hoping I can tighten it, but would I be better off just getting a new line and being done with it?

For that short of a length, I would just replace it -> unless you have the right flare set, then I'd cut it off and make a fresh flare.

I agree. Being only 6 feet, I would look to replace it also.
