He started going to block plants when he was 4. Of course he didn't do any real work but I knew he was going to be good when he started talking about the block machines and he actually understood how they worked. I guess he started welding at age 9. He now sets up the band saw and makes the cuts. He also does some grinding.( I'm not a big fan of letting him grind) I was surprised just how much help he was in the shop.I guess the thing that limits him the most is his size and strength. He's always grabbing a piece of steel that weighs 2X what he weighs and bulls it up on the saw instead of asking for help.(I guess that's just the kid in him). I'm sure as we both get a little older I'll find him to be more and more help.

I have a few welders of various brands. I honestly can't complain about any of them, they have all surpassed my expectations. The HTP is almost 20 yrs old and never an issue.

They are all blue in my shop, except for the Hypertherm (but it's blue inside). Ihave great service from my LWS, and they sell more blue than anything else.

It's a MM135 up top, the Dyn200DX next to the plasma, and a coolmate 4 on the milk crate next to the cart. The MM251 is the latest addition. When work slows down in December, I am going to modify the cart to hold the coolmate and free up some floor space and make the cart mobile again.

The 1st pic is of the equipment out in the driveway. I get home from a plant that I work at in Scranton Penn. and all my welders were in the driveway. I thought my wife lost her mind and decided to have a garage sale. She says she was trying to surprise me by cleaning the shop up. The 2nd and 3rd are of the Trailblazer the night I picked it up.I don't have a pic of the 12RC yet. I just picked it up a week ago or so.By the way I sold the Bobcat 250NT thta's in the pic after I got the Trailblazer.
    Thanks,
